Vacheron Constantin to double workforce

WATCHMAKERS Vacheron Constantine of the Richmont Group are planning to double it’s workforce from 1,300 to 2,020 in grand expansion plans.

The plans are set to cost £70 million pounds with the construction of new buildings and expanded productions.

Vacheron Constantin aim for all of its products to gain the Geneva sign of craftsmanship by 2016 as only 70% of its watches have gained the stamp of approval so far.

The brand plans to produce 30,000 watches annually b 2016 compared to between 17,000 to 18,000 this year.

The 28th branch of Vacheron Constantin was opened in September in New York on the historic Madison Avenue on 64th Street  and the company looks set to expand again.
