First Asian Family to go to space

THE first family from Asia have booked their flight to space for £630,00 yesterday. A Singapore businessman booked for his wife and two children to fly with Virgin Galactica in a first for luxury travel.

The new space-tourism airline has been taking booking since 2005 at around £126,000 each and have sold around 500 so far although a timescale of their launch is yet unclear.

Virgin Galactic commercial director Stephen Attenborough  said ““I had lunch yesterday with a guy who got in touch with us in Singapore, and over lunch he signed his contract for not just a seat, but for a whole flight.”

Customers from the Asia-Pacific region now account for approximately 15 percent of ticket sales despite a ban on Virgin Galactic selling seats in China.
