Learner plate spotted on Ferrari supercar in London
Most people learn to drive in a small 1 – 1.5 litre engine car, well not this person who has the task of learning to drive in a Ferrari 458 Italia which costs £190,000. The 458 packs a 5.0litre engine and 562 horse power and one was spotted parked up on a London street sporting L-plates. The gleaming red supercar was filmed by an astonished passer-by, who confirmed that it was no prank, because he met the person who was learning in it.
YouTube user Shmee150, who filmed the car said: ‘Have you ever seen somebody learning to drive in a 458 Italia? The lucky guy driving the car was very much taking lessons in the Italian supercar – that’s one way to start!’
He added: ‘This is genuine. I spoke to the driver and he is genuinely learning to drive in this 458. His father/instructor was there with him.’
Many people will be surprised at the sheer bravery involved in learning to drive in such a powerful vehicle. Its top speed is 202mph and it can hit 60 in just 3.4 seconds. This means he’ll have to be extra careful to avoid over-excited stabs of the accelerator pedal.
